Early life
Fenty grew up in Barbados with a Barbadian father and a Guyanese mother. As a child, she listened to Caribbean music, such as reggae, as well as American hip-hop and R&B. She especially enjoyed singing and won a high-school talent show with a rendition of a Mariah Carey song. About the same time, she started a girl group with two friends, and in 2004, she attracted the attention of Evan Rogers, an American record producer. He helped Fenty record a demo that led to an audition with the rapper Jay-Z, who at the time headed the Def Jam record label, and he soon signed the budding vocalist. Dissatisfied with university life, she left to work in a law firm and later held a string of jobs, including waitress, bartender, house painter, and oyster shucker.
After putting together a comedy routine for a group of friends, DeGeneres was asked to perform in local coffeehouses in the late 1970s. She was soon traveling through the United States on the comedy club circuit, earning applause with her quirky, naive stories that were punctuated with her loose-limbed gestures. In 1994, she starred in These Friends of Mine; its name changed to Ellen the following season. The show was a success, earning nominations for Golden Globe, American Comedy, and Emmy awards. I,n 1997, DeGeneres revealed that she was gay, and Ellen became the first prime-time show to feature an openly gay lead character. After the show ended in 1998, DeGeneres eventually moved to the daytime arena, launching her own syndicated talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which aired from 2003 to 2022. Her other works include Happier than Ever (2021) and the award-winning song “What Was I Made For?,” which was recorded for the Barbie (2023) soundtrack.
Early life
Eilish’s parents were inspired by Hanson, a ’90s pop band formed by a group of homeschooled brothers from Tulsa, Oklahoma, to teach their children at home and encourage them to explore passions outside of the traditional education system.
As a child, Eilish experimented with horseback riding, dance, and singing as a member of the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus. In 201,5, Eilish’s elder brother, Finneas Baird O’Connell, who performs under the moniker FINNEAS, enlisted her to sing “Ocean Eyes,” a song he had written and produced for his band at the time and later put online. The song quickly gained success, and Eilish signed with the boutique label Darkroom in the summer of 2016.
When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Happier than Ever
Darkroom released Eilish’s Don’t Smile at Me in August 2017, an eight-song EP written by Eilish and FINNEAS. The EP was reissued with a bonus track in December 2017; two more bonus tracks were added in later reissues. Following its release, Don’t Smile at Me peaked at 14 on the Billboard 200 chart. Eilish’s music draws inspiration from hip-hop artists such as Childish Gambino and Tyler, the Creator.
Her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, was released on March 29, 2019, and reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The song “Bad Guy” from the album was Eilish’s first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and it won Grammys in 2020 for song of the year and record of the year; When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was named album of the year. In 2019, Eilish also released the single “Everything I Wanted,” and it was later awarded the Grammy for record of the year.
The documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry appeared in 2021. Later that year, Eilish released her second studio album, Happier than Ever, which was noted for its confessional songs, several of which deal with the downside of her celebrity.
Film work and Academy Awards
Also in 2021, Eilish wrote (with FINNEAS) and performed “No Time to Die” for the James Bond film of the same name; it received the Oscar for best original song. In 2022, she collaborated with FINNEAS and composer Ludwig Göransson on the soundtrack for the Disney/Pixar animated film Turning Red, for which Eilish and her brother wrote three original songs. (In the film, the songs were performed by a fictional boy band called 4*TOWN.) The following y, she collaborated with rapper and singer-songwriter Labrinth on the haunting ballad “Never Felt So Alone.”
She also contributed the ethereal “What Was I Made For?” to the soundtrack of the blockbuster movie Barbie. Gal Gadot (born April 30, 1985, Petaḥ Tiqwa, Israel) is an Israeli actress, producer, and model. After having roles in several television shows and films in the 2000s and 2010s, she catapulted to fame with her portrayal of the DC universe superhero Wonder Woman.
Early life
Gadot was born in Petaḥ Tiqwa and grew up in nearby Rosh HaʿAyin, a small town east of Tel Aviv–Yafo, living with her parents and younger sister. She was raised in the Jewish faith and has said that her faith and Israeli identity are very important to her. Gadot described herself as having been very active as a child, playing several sports; she also studied dance for 12 years. After she graduated from high school, she won the Miss Israel pageant held in 2004.
As Miss Israel, she was a contestant in the Miss Universe competition later that year, but she did not place, later commenting that she was not interested in being Miss Universe and did everything she could to make sure that she would not be chosen as the winner. When she was 20 years of age, she began two years of mandatory service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF; 2005–07), serving as a combat fitness instructor.
She met her future husband, Jaron Varsano, during this time; they were married in 2008. Gadot, who had begun modeling after winning the Miss Israel pageant, continued to do so during and after her military service; she also studied law and international relations at IDC Herzliya (now Reichman University) in Herzliya. Gadot segued from modeling into acting, making her debut in 2007 in Bubot, an Israeli television series.
Her first big Hollywood break came when she was cast in Fast & Furious (2009) as Gisele Yashar, an ex-Mossad agent and weapons expert, a role she would reprise in Fast Five (2011), Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Furious 7 (2015), and Fast X (2023). Gadot did much of her own stunt work in the action-packed thrillers. During thosetimese also had small roles in other movies and worked in television.
Wonder Woman

She went on to star in the highly anticipated Wonder Woman (2017)—directed by Patty Jenkins—which cemented Gadot’s status as an international star. Before filming, Gadot spent several months engaged in physically demanding training to prepare for the role of the superhero, and once, she did much of her own stunt work. Lalisa Manobal[a] (born Pranpriya Manobal, March 27, 1997), known mononymously as Lisa, is a Thai rapper, singer, dancer, and actress. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink, which debuted under YG Entertainment in August 2016.
She made her acting debut in 2025 in the HBO television series The White Lotus. In September 2021, Lisa released her debut single album Lalisa, which made her the first female artist to sell 736,000 copies of an album in its first week in South Korea. The music video for its lead single is the most-viewed music video in the first 24 hours on YouTube by a solo artist, while the album’s viral second single “Money” became the first song by a K-pop solo artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify; both songs charted in the top ten of the Billboard Global 200. In 2024, Lisa established her own management company named Loud, signed with RCA Records, and achieved her first number-one single on the Billboard Global Excl. US with “Rockstar”, the lead single of her debut studio album Alter Ego (2025).

On September 17, 2019, after torrential rain brought by a monsoon caused flooding across 32 Thai provinces, Thai beauty blogger Koi Onusa, a relative of Lisa, revealed that Lisa donated ฿100,000 to Thai actor Bin Bunluerit’s fund to help those evacuated in the floods In September 2021, Lisa expressed interest in joining a social program led by the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange in partnership with YG Entertainment for Buriram Province, soon launching an online account to help collect donations.
The partnership between the foundation and YG Entertainment aims to build a 160-square-meter cultural compound at Non Suwan Phitthayakhom School in Buriram; provide computers, projectors, and other multimedia equipment to the school; and establish a K-pop dance academy staffed by local instructors. In July 2024, she was announced as a headliner for the Global Citizen Festival, an event part of a mission to end extreme poverty, which took place on September 28.
