Miss World In Venezuela 2011
Ivian Sarcos (born July 26, 1989) is a Venezuelan model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss World 2011 on November 6, 2011, in London, United Kingdom. Sarcos is the sixth woman from Venezuela to win Miss World. Ivian was a diplomacy student at the Central University of Venezuela.
Orphaned at the age of eight, Sarcos was raised by nuns in a convent in San Carlos, the capital of Cojedes. She found a new passion in the world of fashion and started her career as a model. Sarcos comes from a family of 12 brothers and sisters. Sarcos competed as Miss Amazonas in her country’s national beauty pageant, Miss Venezuela 2010, on October 28, 2010, and was crowned Miss World Venezuela. She also won the Most Beautiful Face award.
On November 6, 2011, Sarcos won the 2011 Miss World pageant held in the Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London. She was placed third runner-up during the Miss World Beach Beauty event held on October 29 and fifth runner-up in Miss World Top Model, also held on October 29, becoming the eventual winner of Miss World 2011 on November 6. She became the sixth woman from Venezuela to capture the title. In a press conference after her victory, she said,
“This has taught me that life, although it may be bad, doesn’t have to end badly. Although I no longer have my parents, it has taught me to be stronger….. I want to carry on doing the wonderful work that ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ and the Miss World organization does, and to help people in need…. I want to help people like me. The President of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, congratulated Sarcos by telephone and on Twitter. Sarcos was interviewed on Univision for the TV programs Despierta America and Don Francisco Presenta in Miami (USA) and featured in a 7-hour special on Venevision for her return to Venezuela, reaching a 73% share of the viewing audience.
A press conference for her victory was held in Caracas with several journalists. She appeared in Hello magazine for the UK and in Look Caras, and in OK! magazine in Venezuela. On January 4, 2012, President Hugo Chávez received Sarcos with flowers and kissed her hand after their meeting at the Miraflores presidential palace in Caracas and expressed his government’s support. Sarcos has a foundation, called Belleza con Proposito (beauty with a purpose), for people in need.
On November 16, 2011, she attended Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh’s birthday lunch. On January 16, 2012, Sarcos was at the Ordos City Ice Festival. Ivian Sarcos, Miss World 2011, was sharing with children. Sarcos was in Ireland for Variety Children’s Charity, sharing with Brian Ormond. She travelled to Ghana and Kenya from 19 to 28 May for humanitarian works. On June 3, 2012, the Miss World Organization chartered a special boat and joined one of the largest flotillas ever assembled on the River Thames as part of the Queen’s official river procession. The second of two daughters to farming parents, she was born on 5 July 1989 in Shangzhi, Heilongjiang, in northeast China. She completed a four-year university course in Chinese Folk Music at Harbin University. She is currently studying at Harvard University in the United States. On 30 June 2012, Yu was crowned Miss China 2012 at the Jinhai Lake Resort in Beijing. On 18 August 2012, Yu won the 2012 Miss World pageant held in Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, China. She was also named Miss Talent, where she performed her winning talent—a Chinese folk song on stage during the final. When asked how she felt at winning the Miss World crown, she replied: Surprised and very happy. Winning Miss World is a big responsibility; there is so much to learn. I really admire Zhang Zilin, my country’s first Miss World winner.

Megan Lynne Talde Young-Daez (Tagalog: [meˈgɐn daʔes]; née Young; born February 27, 1990) is a Filipino actress and beauty queen who won the Miss World Philippines 2013 title and was later crowned Miss World 2013. She is the first delegate from the Philippines and Southeast Asia to win the title of Miss World. Young started as a contestant on the reality television show StarStruck.Megan Lynne Talde Young was born on February 27, 1990, in Alexandria, Virginia, to Victoria Talde, from Pandan, Antique, and American Calvin Cole Young III. Young’s family moved to Castillejos, Zambales, when she was 10.

Young was crowned as Miss World 2013 in Bali, Indonesia, making her the first Filipina to win the title of Miss World since its creation in 1951. During the preliminaries, she also won the “Top Model” competition, placed second in the “People’s Champion,” placed fourth in the “Multimedia Challenge,” and fifth in the “Beach Beauty” contest. In the final question and answer portion, the contestants in the Top 6 were asked the same question: “Why should you be the next Miss World?” Young replied: I treasure a core value of humanity, and that guides people e how they act the way they do.

On December 14, 2014, Young crowned Rolene Strauss as her successor at the Miss World 2014 pageant held at ExCeL London in London, United Kingdom. Young co-hosted the Miss World 2023 pageant held in Mumbai, India on March 9, 2024, which was won by Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic. During the final round, Young was seen fixing the hair of Miss Botswana, Lesego Chombo, prompting her to apologize publicly after she was accused of invading personal space and cultural insensitivity. Miss World In South Africa 2014
Rolene Strauss (born 22 April 1992) is a South African beauty queen who won Miss South Africa 2014 and was later crowned Miss World 2014. She is the third South African woman to be crowned Miss World, after Penelope Anne Coelen in 1958 and Anneline Kriel in 1974. Strauss is currently the chairperson of the non-profit organisation The Strauss Foundation.
Strauss was a medical student at the University of the Free State. She was born in Volksrust, South Africa, to Theresa, a nurse, and Hennie Strauss, a doctor. She is a test tube baby. In her own words, “I’m a test tube baby and I believe my passion for health was born with me”.Strauss became engaged to D’Niel Strauss (no relation) in December 2014.
They were later married on 6 February 2016, at the Laurent Wedding venue in Somerset West. Their first child, a son, was born in January 2017. In February 2020, she gave birth to her second son. Rolene Strauss is a devout Christian. Strauss won her first title at age 15, when she won the Elite Model Look South Africa competition in 2007.
Strauss was later placed in the top 5 of Miss South Africa 2011, where Melinda Bam became the winner. She returned three years later to compete, representing Bloemfontein, and was crowned Miss South Africa 2014. As Miss South Africa 2014, Strauss was expected to compete at both Miss Universe 2014 and Miss World 2014. Strauss competed in the Miss World 2014 contest in London, United Kingdom, and during the final question and answer round, Strauss was asked, “Why should you be the next Miss World?” to which Strauss responded by stating: I believe that the story of my book is more meaningful than my cover.
Being proudly South African, I have firsthand experience that unity, respect, and forgiveness exist, and those are the aspirations of the Miss World Organization. So, it would be amazing to represent an organization that is a beacon of hope to the world. She was eventually crowned as Miss World 2014 at the end of the event, becoming the third South African to win Miss World since the pageant’s inception in 1951. Because of this, she could not compete at Miss Universe 2014.
Ziphozakhe Zokufa, her first runner-up, stepped in as Miss South Africa 2014 and represented the country at the Miss Universe 2014 competition. After being crowned Miss World 2014, Strauss began her responsibilities as Miss World and has since travelled to Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Kenya, Jamaica, Cameroon, the United Kingdom, the United States, among other countries to fulfil her various obligations in the role. Strauss was invited as a judge in Miss World 2018, becoming the first and so far the only Miss World from the 2010s to become a judge in a Miss World finals.
Miss World In Spain 2015
Mireia Lalaguna Royo (born 21 November 1992) is a Spanish actress, model, and beauty queen who was crowned Miss World 2015, becoming the first woman from Spain to win Miss World. She was previously crowned Miss World Spain 2015. Lalaguna was born in Barcelona on 21 November 1992. She obtained her bachelor’s and MSc degrees in pharmacy at the University of Barcelona in Spain. Lalaguna is fluent in Catalan, Spanish, French, and English. Lalaguna ventured into pageantry in 2014.
She represented Spain at the Miss Atlántico Internacional 2014 pageant, where she was eventually declared the winner, crowned by outgoing titleholder Lorena Romaso. Lalaguna competed at the third edition of Miss World Spain on 24 October 2015 in Málaga, representing Barcelona. At the end of the event, she was crowned Miss World Spain 2015 by her predecessor, Lourdes Rodríguez of Castilla-La Mancha. She also won the Miss Luxury special award at the event. Lalaguna represented Spain at the Miss World 2015 pageant on 19 December 2015, held in Sanya, China. After advancing to the final five, she answered the question, “Why do you think you should win Miss World 2015?” with the following response:
I think I should be the next Miss World because I believe in strong women. Also, I always try to give my best. I believe in Beauty with a Purpose, and I can continue its legacy. I want to show the world how to love and share, give the best of ourselves, and show everyone how to find happiness in helping each other. By the end of the event, Lalaguna was crowned Miss World 2015 by the outgoing titleholder, Rolene Strauss of South Africa. Lalaguna’s win marked the first time Spain won the Miss World competition since the pageant’s inception in 1951.
Miss World In Puerto Rico 2016
Stephanie del Valle Díaz (born December 30, 1996) is a Puerto Rican musician, model, and beauty queen who was crowned Miss World 2016. She became the second contestant from Puerto Rico to win the Miss World title, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975. She previously won Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2016. Del Valle is attending Pace University in New York City, where she is studying law and communication. Before competing in beauty pageants, Del Valle was the muse to Puerto Rican fashion designer Carlos Alberto. Del Valle speaks Spanish, English, and French. Del Valle competed in the Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico in the year 2016, representing the municipality of Toa Baja.
She eventually won the title of Miss World Puerto Rico 2016 and was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Keysi Marie Vargas Vélez. She also won the Talent competition in the pageant. She represented Puerto Rico at the Miss World 2016 pageant, which was held in Oxon Hill, Maryland, United States.
She made it to the Top 21 in the Miss World Talent round. During the grand finale, Del Valle, as one of the Top 5 finalists, was asked, “If you had an opportunity to change something about the world, what would it be?” She replied by stating: “If I have the opportunity to change something about the world, I think what I would do is send a message of how important it is to change exclusion for acceptance, to promote and provide justice for others, and the importance of helping those in need. Thank you.”She was eventually crowned as Miss World 2016 at the event by the outgoing Miss World 2015, Mireia Lalaguna of Spain. The event was held in MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Maryland, United States, and held on December 18, 2016. This is the second time Puerto Rico has won the Miss World crown, after Wilnelia Merced, Miss World 1975.
During her capacity as Miss World, she traveled to China, the United Kingdom, the United States, Indonesia, India, South Africa, the Philippines, and numerous trips around Puerto Rico. Del Valle was set to co-host Miss World 2021 alongside Peter Andre and Fernando Allende at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, though the December final was postponed to March 2022 due to the Omicron variant ramping up cases on the island and leaving 23 out of the 97 contestants to test positive for the virus.
A month before the finale’s new date, Del Valle and her nonprofit organization, Reignite Puerto Rico, were served with a lawsuit alleging a breach of contract and embezzlement with the organization Puerto Rico with a Purpose (led by venture capitalist Brock Pierce) after the pageant’s initial cancellation in December 2021, demanding a minimum of 1.25 million in back payments. They are also claiming $1.5 million for damages against the non-profit organization.
Del Valle went on the record on her social media and on Puerto Rican television to refute the lawsuit, stating that ” The allegations are baseless, completely false.” Del Valle and her parents then countersued Puerto Rico with a Purpose of $31 million for ’emotional damages caused by the alleged defamation against the former beauty queen. On February 28, 2022, Del Valle took to Instagram to announce she would no longer be hosting the pageant’s 70th edition, claiming, “It is contrary to my ethics and moral principles to continue working with an organization that has acted in a defamatory, frivolous, and unfair manner; solely for the purpose of causing harm.
“On March 10, 2022, the Miss World organization sent out a press release from CEO and Chairman Julia Morely stating that part of the information that was being spread in the media was simply not true.” Puerto Rico with a Purpose’s lawsuit against Del Valle and Del Valle’s countersuit are still active. Del Valle is in a relationship with actor and TV presenter Barney Walsh, the son of Bradley Walsh.
Miss World India 2017
Manushi Chhillar (born 14 May 1997) is an Indian actress, model, and the winner of the Miss World 2017 pageant. She represented her state of Haryana at the Femina Miss India 2017 pageant and won the title of Femina Miss India World 2017, and then went on to become the sixth Indian to be crowned Miss World after 17 years. Chhillarr made her acting debut with the role of Sanyogita in the historical drama Samrat Prithviraj (2022), and has since appeared in The Great Indian Family (2023)and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024). Chhillar was born on 14 May 1997 in Rohtak into a Haryanvi Jat family, although her ancestral home is in Bamnoli village of Jhajjar district.
Her father, Mitra Basu Chhillar, is a physician who served at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and now practices regenerative medicine at Soma Wellness in Mumbai, while her mother, Neelam Chhillar, is also a medical doctor and departmental head of neurochemistry at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences, New Delhi. Chhillar studied at St. Thomas’ School (New Delhi) and was academically brilliant, having topped the all-India CBSE in English subject in class 12, and scored 96 per cent in her boards. She cleared the All India Pre Medical Test (now, NEET) in her first attempt.
She was pursuing a medical degree (MBBS) at the Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College in Sonipat. Chhillar is fluent in Hindi and English, apart from her mother tongue, Haryanvi. She is a trained Kuchipudi dancer and has acquired her training under Raja and Radha Reddy. Chhillar ventured into pageantry with Fashion Big Bazaar sponsored Campus Princess 2016, where she was crowned as one of the finalists at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in December 2016. It was conducted by the Miss India Organization. Thereafter, she went on to win the title of Femina Miss India Haryana in April 2017. Chhillar represented the state of Haryana in the annual Femina Miss India contest. During the competition, Chhillar was crowned Miss Photogenic. Chhillarr, as a top 15 semi-finalist, was asked by Karan Johar: “The government is considering banning surrogacy in India.
What is your opinion regarding this?”I feel everyone in the world should have the right to be a parent. So, instead of banning surrogacy in India, the government should focus on preventing its exploitation. During the final question and answer round of Femina Miss India 2017, the top 5 delegates were asked the same question – “You have spent 30 days with 30 fellow contestants at Femina Miss India. What lesson will you take back with you?”, to which Chhillar responded:
These days that I have spent with my fellow contestants have been the most dynamic period of my life. The only thing that was certain during the whole experience was uncertainty. The one belief that I would take back with me is that, yes…I can change the world. When I entered Miss India, there was only passion. However, through this journey, I acquired a vision in life. That vision and the belief that I can change the world is something I’m going to take back with me. She later went on to win the contest’s main title, Femina Miss India World 2017, in the finale event hosted at the Yash Raj Film Studio, on 25 June 2017. By winning, she earned the right to represent India at Miss World 2017.

She is India’s fourth Beauty with a Purpose winner at Miss World and the first woman to win Miss World and Beauty with a Purpose jointly. Chhillar’s Beauty with a Purpose project was titled Project Shakti. The campaign’s goal is to spread awareness about menstrual hygiene. She visited about 20 villages for the project and treated over 5,000 women.
Miss World In Mexico 2018
Silvia Vanessa Ponce de León Sánchez (born 7 March 1992), known simply as Vanessa Ponce, is a Mexican model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss World 2018. She is the first Mexican to be crowned Miss World. In the history of the Miss World competition, she holds the record for being the oldest winner thus far.
Vanessa Ponce was born in Mexico City, Mexico, on 7 March 1992. She studied international commerce at the University of Guanajuato, in the state of Guanajuato. She resided for ten years in the State of Aguascalientes, Mexico, and for five years in the State of Guanajuato. She then returned to her hometown in Mexico City, Mexico, to live and work. During the Miss World 2018 competition, she promoted her project called “NaVali”, whose objective is to help the children of the indigenous Mexican day laborers who emigrated from the State of Guerrero, Mexico, to the State of Guanajuato.
She also works in a school called Nenemi, dedicated to the intercultural education of indigenous people.e On April 14, 2022, she was married to her private boyfriend at Carmel Valley in California, United States. At the age of 22, she participated in the fifth season of Mexico’s Next Top Model, which ran in 2014. At the end of the reality show, she was eventually declared the winner. Her prize package included a cash prize of Mex$300,000, an appearance at the New York Fashion Week, $50,000 worth of Mary Kay cosmetics, a modeling contract with Queta Rojas management, a Volkswagen Tiguan, $125,000 worth of Tommy Hilfiger apparel, and an editorial spread in Glamour mmagazine She was crowned Miss Mexico City 2018, and later was crowned Miss Mexico 2018 on May 5, 2018, in the Imperial Hall of Villa Toscana, Sonora, to represent Mexico in Miss World 2018.
She was crowned Miss Mexico 2017 and Miss World Americas 20,17, outgoing Andrea Meza from the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. She represented Mexico at the 68th edition of Miss World. During the final question and answer round of the contest, she was asked, “How would you use your influence as Miss World to help others?” She replied by stating, “I would use my position just as I have been doing for the past three years, by being an example. Wcan allan be an example of good in the world? We all have to care, we all have to love, and we all have to be kind. It doesn’t cost a thing, and helping is not that hard. You just have to go out there, and there will always be someone who needs what you have to offer.
So, help anyone you can, guys.”At the end of the event, she won the title and was crowned Miss World 2018 on 8 December 2018 in the city of Sanya, China. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Manushi Chhillar of India. Vanessa Ponce de Leon is the oldest Miss World as of now. She won the contest when she was 26 years and 276 days, surpassing the previous record of Miss World 1989, Aneta Kręglicka, who was 24 years old and 244 days old at the time of her victory.
Miss World In Jamaica 2019
Toni-Ann Singh (born February 1, 1996) is a Jamaican beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss World 2019 and is the fourth woman from Jamaica to win Miss World. She is also the longest-reigning Miss World in the history of the pageant. She was previously crowned Miss Jamaica World 2019. Singh was born in Morant Bay, Jamaica. She is of Dougla heritage, with her mother being of Afro-Jamaican descent, and her father being of Indo-Jamaican descent. Her family migrated to the United States when Singh was nine, settling in Florida. She attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, where she graduated with a degree in women’s studies and psychology.
On 21 September 2019, Singh won Miss Jamaica World 201 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. Afterwards, Singh received the right to represent Jamaica at Miss World 2019. Singh left for London in November 2019 to participate in the Miss World pre-pageant activities. Singh placed in the top 40 of the Top Model competition and won the talent competition, which granted her direct entry into the top 40 semifinals.
Miss World 2019 Final was held on 14 December at ExCeL London, where Singh advanced from the top 40 to the top 12, and ultimately to the top five. During the top five question and answer round, she was asked by Piers Morgan, “Why should you win the title of Miss World 2019?”Singh replied: I think I represent something special…a generation of women who are pushing forward to change the world. I don’t consider myself better than any other girls on the stage, but I will say that my passion for women and making sure that they have had the same opportunities that I have had is something that sets me apart.
She was subsequently asked, “Who is the most inspiring woman in the world for you?” Singh replied: The most inspiring woman to me is my mother. Now I must say, if my mother and my father are the roots, and I’m the tree, then really, any work that I do, anything that I’m able to change in the world…It is the fruits of their labor, and I watched her pour everything into me, even at the sacrifice of her own wants and her needs, and that’s why I can sit before you today.
At the end of the event, she was crowned Miss World 2019 by the previous winner Vanessa Ponce of Mexico. The first runner-up was Ophély Mézino of France, and the second runnerwas -up was Suman Rao of India. Singh is the fourth Jamaican to hold the title, with the last being Lisa Hanna, who was crowned Miss World 1993, and the first black woman to win Miss World since Agbani Darego of Nigeria won Miss World 2001. Her win also made 2019 the first-ever year that black women won two of the Big Four international beauty pageants, after Zozibini Tunzi became South Africa’s first black woman to have won the Miss Universe title.
Miss World in Poland 2021
Karolina Bielawska (born 11 April 1999) is a Polish beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss World 2021. Bielawska was born in Łódź. She is a business student with a bachelor’s degree he is studying for her master’s degree.
She is the daughter of Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska, dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Łódź University of Technology, and Łukasz Bielawski, former president of ŁKS Łódź.On 24 November 2019, Bielawska represented Łódź at Miss Polonia 2019 and won the title, making her Poland’s Miss World 2020 candidate. Miss World 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She retained the Miss World Poland 2021 title.
After being selected, she engaged in charity activities, such as volunteering for “Soup na Pietrynie”, initiator of the Polish National Charity Action “Korona z Głowy” supporting those in need during the pandemic, ambassador of the social campaign “Dotykam = Wygrywam” acting to fight breast cancer, and a participant in the “FASS OFF” campaign for the Dom Foundation in Łódź.
She supports the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, and the DKMS Foundation, is an ambassador of the charity action fighting COVID-19 in Peru, the action included in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “Polonia4Neighbors”, and as part of the charity project “Beauty with a purpose” together with the Foundation “Zupa na Pietrynie” created the first bathhouse in Łódź for people who are hhomelessielawska won Miss World 2021 at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on 16 March 2022. She became the second Pole to win Miss World after Aneta Kręglicka in 1989.
